Woven in Japan with gold metallic thread, this cushion began life as a vintage silk Obi - the ceremonial sash worn with a Kimono.

It's been carefully rebuilt into a piece your home can live with, where the light catches the brocade differently by the hour.

The motifs are pine tree, maple leaf and chrysanthemum - for centuries it has stood for steadfastness, peace and longevity. 

This is a one-of-a-kind piece. Once it's gone, this exact pattern won't be repeated.

What does the motif mean?

Pine Tree 松

An evergreen that stays green through the harshest winter, the pine represents steadfastness, longevity, and quiet strength.
Alongside bamboo and plum, it completes the "Three Friends of Winter," a grouping that celebrates resilience under pressure.
