Woven in Japan with golden metallic thread, this vintage Fukuro Obi has been reconfigured in the UK into a piece your home can actually live with: On a chair or a sofa, where the light catches it differently by the hour.
The ocean waves, diamond patterns (Hishimon), tortoise shell (Kikko) and cherry blossom, featured on the Obi has been a symbol in Japanese culture for centuries. Tranquility, prosperity, longevity and renewal, respectively.
As each Obi is uniquely designed, there won't be another like it.
