Loom of the Sun
Woven in Japan with gold metallic thread, this silk Obi has been up-cycled into a handbag - carrying a piece of vintage textile history through your everyday.
The motifs are Karabana, Hishimon (Diamon lattice) and wave - for centuries it has stood for extravagant beauty, prosperity and good fortune, respectively.
It features a magnetic top closure, with pockets and a separate zipped compartment for smaller essentials, and a ring-end cord for clipping on keys inside.
As each Obi is uniquely patterned, no two bags are ever quite the same - this exact piece won't be repeated.
